The Fit School Blog, run by Karen Lisa Laing, brings you up-to-date fitness, health, nutrition news, as well as recipes and advise for all the family.

Karen heads up the holistic and women’s health arm of Fit School, as well as the Fit School Blog.

As well as the Fit School Blog, Karen also has her website for her fitness writing and a journalist blog, A Little Fitter. Below are all her published articles on various media outlets and magazines such as The Guardian, Huffington Post and Fitpro Magazine. 


Karen manage the holistic and women’s health arm of Fit School. She teach Pilates classes in Epping and Essex as well as teaching and co-ordinating private classes (like our corporate classes).  She also write and present on health and fitness, specifically women’s health issues.

Her aim and that of Fit School is to break down barriers to health and fitness. Her classes are fun and friendly environments. We aren’t on a quest for the body beautiful (although all of my participants are pretty perfect and beautiful in my opinion) but we do want to help you stay injury and pain free, reduce stress, make you feel better and encourage you to get an exercise habit for life.

Her expertise is women’s health, specifically pre natal wellbeing and post natal recovery, beginning with the pelvic floor.

This year she's been invited to present at FitPro LIVE, the biggest fitness conference in the UK. She'll be speaking alongside the likes of Katie-Bulmer Cooke (BBC's The Apprentice) and boxing star Ricky Hatton.

Last year she presented at the WIFE (Women in Fitness Empowerment) Rising Stars event and will help host this year's WIFE in Business Day.
